Crossfire '95 Red

This is Jzo's current team for soccer. They are all around 13. He's front, center.
They are playing hard right now in the 2nd league play of the year and by the end of March will enter the State Cup tournament.

2009 Oscar Night

Yes! we were all as tired as we look, but Susie, Marcia and I shared some laughs Sunday (early evening) as they kicked off the 81st Academy Awards. I didn't stay long at Marcia's for the impromptu gathering - but it was fun!

LA DanceForce

Tess & Marina just prior to their 1st competition dance at this past weekend's convention. It was at the Sheraton in downtown Seattle - so it was the first time in 4 years that we could drop off the girls and then go back home while they were in classes all day both Sat. & Sun. We of course attended the competition Sat. night and their Jazz dance got 1st place in the Sr. division, and their teams also got 1st in another category and 2nd in the Jazz category for a diff. dance routine. Overall, they did really well, and I think had a pretty fun weekend.
Sat. night after hours of watching strangers dancing, Ginasue and I got silly. That was even prior to me laughing myself to tears over NOTHING.... hard not to get oddly giddy at times during these competitions!

Ghent Family to the Rescue!

Marina is holding Charlie... the newest Ghent - just 7 weeks old.
Jzo and 3 year old Owen play a little 'hoops' in Jordan's room.

Ryker takes a turn with Charlie.

Jill (their mom) and I watched as Owen entertained our kids singing along with the Wii Guitar Hero songs. Meanwhile, upstairs Bob was helping David finish re-tiling our master shower.
Thank you, Bob!

The Valentine's Exchange

This is Ryker's girlfriend Alison's front door. Camouflaged by pink streamers to greet her upon arriving back home at the end of their family ski weekend.
Treats hiding....

so sweet. (based on the candy selection - Ryker thinks she's something between an "Air Head" and a "Smartie".....

Valentine's Day

This morning David & Jzo left early (7:15 a.m.) to drive up to Bellingham, WA (1 1/2 + hours) for a soccer game (yea, they won 5-2!) and I stayed home to catch up on a few things. While I was in the front room, I saw two people sneakily walking up the drive. It was Ryker's girlfriend, Alison & her dad. They set up the surprise for Ryker. He didn't wake up till after 11:45, so discovered it all then.
He wacked it with a baseball bat. It flew off and part-way down the drive.

There apparently were candies and treats loaded inside.
Pretty clever.
Her family took off today for Mt. Bachelor, Oregon for a ski trip, so he & I devised some plans today while driving up to his "District" swim meet for his Valentine Surprise back to her.
Stay tuned....
p.s.
If I can learn how to link you to a video, you can see how Ryker performed in the District Meet today. (preview.... he did well!)
