Marina & Fish

Feb 13th 2010, our niece Stephanie Marino became Mrs. Tilley - married to Mark, a great guy!

A friend building her photography business took pics of Marina at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle.

Easter 2010 - the "turtle pick"... Grandma Jan did the picking for Kendyll who's still away at school in London.

1 of the 5 memory collages I created for the Senior Cheerleaders given to them at the annual banquet 4-8-2010. I worked on them for 5 weeks.

2010 Cheer team - end of season banquet. (Marina is 3rd from left.)

Sophomores & their moms.

RANDOM - yummy homemade pizza I made one night!

Easter cousins (Grandma Jan sitting in for Kendyll)

3 of the 5 memory collages... we asked what color was their favorite v. using school colors.

oops! blurry - Marina made Jordan a custom brownie on his 14th b-day!

Mufasa & Titan - Titan at 9 weeks, Mufasa almost 9 years.

a rare peaceful moment.

Catching Up!

I'm way behind with keeping my blog up to date... I do like the format and privacy better with the blog than with facebook, but it's easy to upload photos to FB and as you'll soon see - a bit difficult on this (hard to change their order!)
The above pic was taken by my sister when we met up in Seattle to watch the Macy's Day Parade.... Marina's cheer team marched in it - it was COLD morning! (day after Thanksgiving!)

Ryker took Alison to the Woodland Park Zoo recently... they seemed to have fun!

Marina decorated a friend's car to ask him to his school's "Tolo" dance - she's also going to her school's tolo, 3 weeks later with a different friend.

It's Basketball season and Marina's "buddies" are girls on the Varsity team.
Treats every Friday game.

We had a great holiday season, my mom, "Granma Carol" visited my and Dar's families for 2 weeks!

Mom & Kendyll (home from London)

Cousins on Christmas!

Dar's mother-in-law, Jan Pickard, organized a fun Christmas gift game!
Marina in the parade (see the problem with uploading?)... 2nd from right - smirking!

Halloween with Kelsey L.

Grandpa Dick visited for Thanksgiving... there was a varsity bball exhibition he got to watch so he saw Marina in uniform.

Blast from the Past!

Heather (Amberg) Anderson is between David & I. All our families went to St.Mark's Lutheran Church growing up. Heather went to different schools than I did until high school and then we were lab partners two years in a row in biology and chem. (we were a good team too)
David & I have stayed in touch via Christmas cards with Heather's parents, but we'd lost direct contact with Heather around 25 years ago.
She travels a lot for her business and thru facebook we are re-connected so when she came to town this week we got together. She was at the house last night after soccer for a couple hours.
Great to catch up!
I put these sunflowers in a very short vase, so had to tie them, but like the effect.

a couple months ago Marina & I found these pumpkin lights... finally put them out with some "fall" decor.

yummy nibblies!

Had a friend from high school (and even earlier, really) over tonight -haven't seen her for 25 years! it was 7:30 pm, so too late for a dinner, but this is part of what I served... it was yummy!
I especially enjoyed the proscuito wrapped parmesan sticks, the pickled hot & spice green beans, the roasted garlic, roasted tomatoes and soft cheese on bread... oh! and the cajun spiced pecans... it was delish!

In with the new...

New workout equipment...
All the boys are excited, and started their new training routines already after school today.
Remnants of the old "office/art studio"... not sure how all that will work, but stay tuned....
My computer is now on a tiny desk in a corner of our Master bedroom. Works fine.

First Day of School

Marina was 1st out the door at 7:05. Cheer captains dictated what they had to wear. Sophomores started at 7:30 (normal time).

Ryker left an hour later - the Jr. class got to start an hour after the Sophomores.

Jordan got to sleep in - didn't leave till almost 11:00 a.m. At his school, the7th graders get their orientation for a few hours before the "upper class men" like Jordan (8th grade) get there. I woke Jordan up way early, so I could get his picture before leaving for work. He took the bus to school with all his neighbor buddies.

Now tonight we will hear about their schedules, teachers, which friends they see or don't see, etc., etc. Here we go again!
